How the metal is made

Each arch passes through the same sequence in the workshop: cutting, modelling, welding, an ageing treatment, an anti-rust treatment, colouring and a matte surface treatment. That matte surface is deliberate. A high-gloss arch would bounce light and call attention to itself; this one absorbs it, which is why the piece sits quietly in a room rather than shouting across it.

Three sizes, three colours

The wall hanging comes in three formats — 40 x 60 cm, 50 x 75 cm and 60 x 90 cm — and in black, white or gold. Pair two smaller arches in a vertical stack for a narrow wall, or set a large one alone over the bed as the single focal point. The carbonated metal body is 2 mm thick throughout.

Placement notes for real rooms

Above a bed, leave roughly the width of the headboard clear on either side so the arch can breathe. Above a sofa, centre it on the seat rather than the wall to keep the composition balanced. In a home office or a rented apartment where drilling is limited, the piece is light enough to sit on a single fixing point and to be moved when the furniture is rearranged. Warm neutrals, rattan, jute and aged wood all sit comfortably around it, as does a plain painted wall with nothing else on it.
